You open the blinds and there is jibberish..
without knowing the word pledge you cannot input anything into the laptop.. which then gives you the code to open the safe to open the window, which then gives you the word pledge..
How the heck are we supposed to come up with the word pledge in the first place to begin the journey to the end of the stage??

i get it now… if you look closely at the two windows when they are closed, you can see that if the vertical lines and ‘C’ shape on the left were to be put over the ‘shapes’ on the right side of the window, they would spell ‘PLEDGE’ for instance, the top shape on the right, the curve shape) put with the first vertical line on the left, would create the letter ‘P’ which is the first letter in the word ‘PLEDGE’ that could be the logic π

The vertical lines on the left window form the left side of the letters P, L, E and D when combined with the symbols on the right window. The “C” on the left window forms the letter G when combined with the symbol on the right window.

To get the word pledge…you need to use your brain to combine the left and right window. Or if you can’t imagine what they look like together, use a piece if paper and write/draw the lines from both windows together. Just the way that you may need to use pen and paper to add/subtract (4) four-digit numbers together! (unless of course you can do that math in your head(which I doubt most ppl can). In short, pencil and paper are very hande to use in this game, especially if you have a hard time with spacial puzzles without a visual aid! Good luck puzzle silvers! Ps…I had a harder time figuring out the 9-6-6-0= (^^) than the word pledge which I figured out quickly!

I believe the object is a knife/box-cutter, not a ruler. That’s why the note says “erase and cut”. First you use the gauze with artist’s picture cleaner (not medicine) on the painting and then the knife to uncover the safe.
Where I ran into trouble is, I wasn’t getting the idea to tap exactly in the center of the triangle formed by the red roof, the green garden, and the blue river. I was apparently, missing the spot and didn’t realize it. That’s how I ended up here!
